Standing Bear Council Monthly Meeting

The Standing Bear Council will have it’s monthly meeting on April 11th at Sirloin Stockade, 3461 Main St, Keokuk Iowa (map) at 2pm. This event is open to all people, not just those of Native American descent. We are a group who practice and educate the way of the American Indians and live by their principles. Events include Powwows, spiritual gatherings, and community support in all schools and organizations. Come early and eat then enjoy the fellowship, all are welcome!

    Next Standing Bear council meeting is January 23 at the Hawk Eye Resturant in Keokuk IL,The Standing Bear Winter Gathering is Jan.8th and 9th in Argyle Iowa,This annual event is Open to the public and it is FREE.It will be held at the old school house-take hwy 61 north-about 45 minutes from Quincy.Host drum is BlackFox singers,vendors,educators,food and dancing.Random prize money for those who dance-children-adults.Feast for all at 5pm saturday-pot luck type,bring a cold dish to share if you can.Sunday dooors open at 10am-Blessing of the Eagle ceremony,live birds of prey by the Wildlife Prairie Park–Eagle,Owl,Hawks-lots to do for all ages,great fo the whole family–you dont have to be Indian it is ope to all.Go to for our news letter
