Past meets present in everyday life

By Travis on August 17, 2010

It’s the little things that makes Quincy special to me. Today I grabbed a quick lunch at Washington perk in what was once one of the first banks in Quincy. Next time you’re there check out the amazing craftsmanship that went into the bank vault doors. There are so many small details right down to the engraved metal around the door’s sides. It’s easy to miss these small details when life is so crazy and hectic. Objects and structures like this are the charm in Quincy in my eyes. The overlap of past and present in our everyday life.

I love Washington Perk. I can say from living it, that you can not truly appreciate how awesome of a city Quincy is, until you haven’t lived there. I can not WAIT to get back to Quincy. Honestly it can’t happen fast enough.

A great city filled with equally great people.

I totally agree Amanda, was it whitesnake or perhaps poison that said it best…”ya don’t know what you got until it’s gone” ? :)
