Qtown is proud to announce it will be involved in the Quincy Chamber of Commerce‘s Social Media Seminar. This 2 hour event happening October 29th will be akin to a “advanced” introduction to Social Media. Several months ago the Chamber presented a Social Media brown bag lunch session that had great interest. The Brown Bag was more of a powerpoint information presentation. The upcomming social media seminar will be much more hands on, much more in depth, and will maintain a freeform presentation open to questions at any moment. This event is open and free to Chamber of Commerce Members. All participants are encourages to bring their laptops  with them, there will be several breaks in the session where you can setup and or get help setting up your very own account in one of the several social media avenues we will cover. To help sweeten the deal, if  you are a chamber member and you register before the 15th you will be automatically entered to have your company’s social media plan suggested and mapped out for you for free!

Alot of people ask why Qtown is involved with these kind of events. The answer is simple, given the economic condition and the limited funds for advertising and marketing, proper social media usage by a business can have drastic affects on communicating with potential clients, as well as keeping current clients up to speed with specials, promotions, or general information. Proper social media usage is a free tool that when properly used can have a long lasting positive impact upon a businesses visibility and interaction with a large group of localized potential clients. Educating the public and businesses on how to utilize Social Media is an ongoing goal of Qtown.
